The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries at the University of Portsmouth invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Performance. The University is seeking a scholar-practitioner with a broad range of practical expertise and theoretical knowledge; sample areas of desired specialization may include (but are not limited to): movement and physical theatre, intercultural/global performance, musical direction, global musical theatres, actor training, creative technologies and performance, technical theatre and production, or voice studies. In particular, applicants with expertise in non-Western performance traditions are welcomed.

A scholar-practitioner with national and/or international connections to industry and the academy, the successful applicant will contribute to the delivery of core teaching across the undergraduate programmes, along with relevant departmental activities such as recruitment and course development, dependent on the grade of appointment. The successful applicant will also play a key role in the expansion of current portfolio and future development.
