Atlantic Arc Orchestra is a new collaboration, bringing together some of the world’s most respected traditional musicians, under the musical direction of Dónal Lunny. Having come together for a series of special shows such as Celtic Connections they discovered a shared interest in exploring and cultivating contemporary expressions of traditional music.

The revered Portuguese singer, composer, guitarist and poet Lula Pena appears at Festival following the January release of her third Crammed album, Archivo Pittoresco.

Lula’s voice is haunting, her guitar style unique and her approach to her music deeply emotional and intense, taking in folk blues, flamenco, Latin, French chanson, orna hues fado and bossa nova.
