Salary: $89,955 - $106,817 p.a. plus 17% superannuation  

VCA Music Theatre trains performers who are highly skilled in all three key areas of Music Theatre performance. The teaching in the program nurtures professional discipline, individuality, creativity and autonomy with a strongly engaged industry focus and through the initiation and development of new works.

Nestled in the centre of Melbourne’s Arts Precinct, the VCA is unique in Australia for training artists in all disciplines on one compact campus where collaboration, creativity and excellence are prized.

The Lecturer in Music Theatre will bring a national or international profile as a performer, director, musical director or choreographer and aspire to continually advance Australian Music Theatre performance practice through teaching and learning. The position requires a strong record in teaching, professional practice and academic coordination within a comparable tertiary training context. Whilst a PhD or Masters is desirable, performance practice and an excellent teaching record at the highest level will be looked upon favourably.
