Manager of Events, Music Department
The Music Department seeks a manager who will engage in collaborations and create a dynamic forum for artistic exploration. This full-time exempt position is responsible for the planning, producing and execution of all concerts, colloquia, and special events that contribute to the academic mission of the department. Responsible for all aspects of the Blodgett Artist-in-Residence and Distinguished Artist programs:
- Advises faculty and students on program and event procedures.
- Determines technical resources required as well as staffing needs for traditional and contemporary music and lectures.
- Serves as Administrator for the Fromm National Foundation.
- Advises and corresponds with composers, performing ensembles, festivals and other foundations regarding events.
- Manages Fromm yearly application process.
- Supervises student assistant. Responsible for all events related aspects of the Fromm Players and Fromm Residency.
- Maintains the Fromm Foundation website.
- With Communications Coordinator, manages design, production and distribution of all publicity for department sponsored and student events, including the Events Brochure.
- Manages events budget in consultation with the Manager of Administration and Finance.
- Serves as department representative at concerts and events.
- Supervises the work of the Production Coordinator.
