The Board of Siamsa Tíre wishes to appoint an Executive Director to lead and manage the organisation’s development and operations over the next five years.

Siamsa Tíre/Home to the National Folk Theatre of Ireland (www.siamsatire.com) is an arts organisation of over 40 years standing and comprises a theatre production company, a venue which functions as a producing and receiving theatre for the performing arts, visual arts gallery spaces, and two small venues (Tithe Siamsa) in Finuge and Carraig. Siamsa Tíre is looking for an Executive Director who has experience in senior management and in creative arts programming. This is a stimulating role that combines creative programming with executive leadership in a nationally significant cultural organisation.

Siamsa Tíre, Home to the National Folk Theatre of Ireland, is a Company Limited by Guarantee and is a registered charity. The Executive Director will be responsible for programming, for developing and implementing strategy with the Board, for managing governance and compliance, for managing staff and for the effective management of facilities in line with our financial and operational plans. The Executive Director will work with the Artistic Director of the National Folk Theatre to support and further its development.  Siamsa Tíre, Home to the National Folk Theatre of Ireland is Ireland’s first Green Theatre and the Executive Director will lead staff in continuing to embed good practice in sustainability across all aspects of the organisation’s business.
