The Summer Programs Assistant Residence Directors (SPARD), reporting to the Associate Director, Residential Education, provide overall programmatic support to summer programs at Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Summer programs consists primarily of high school aged students enrolling in one of the following: Berklee Summer 5-Week Programs, Boston Conservatory at Berklee summer intensive programs, or small Berklee summer programs (typically a weekend in length). The SPARDs will supervise between 5-12 Resident Assistants, serve as a primary on-call staff member, and provide support to the Housing & Residential Operations team, as needed throughout the summer. The SPARDs will plan, implement, and assess summer Resident Assistant training with the support of the Residential Education team.

• Design and implement a weeklong training program for the Resident Assistants under the guidance of the full time Residential Education staff
• Provide supervision to the Summer Resident Assistant team (between 5-12 people), which includes one-on-one meetings, running weekly staff meetings, and creating leadership opportunities for the team
• Provide logistical support for move-in and move-out processes with summer programs working in conjunction with the Housing & Residential Operations team
• Serve as a primary on-call staff member while summer programs are in session, responding to emergencies, assisting with evening curfew checks, and addressing other issues as they arise
