The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire seeks to appoint an outstanding individual to lead its thriving Brass Department.

The successful applicant will have a national or international reputation as an orchestral player and/or teacher and be able to articulate a strong vision for the future of the department. They will possess a deep and passionate commitment to the education of young artists and have a detailed, up-to-date understanding of the demands of today’s employment landscape. It is likely that they will have an extensive network of industry contacts with whom the department can engage. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the needs and aspirations of undergraduate and postgraduate students and be able demonstrate how these can be accommodated.  They will need to possess the necessary creative flair to manage programmes of study and also to collaborate with industry professionals (both internal and external) in the provision of exciting, high quality performance projects. Some experience of managing a team would be an advantage.

The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire is seeking a talented, ambitious individual who is committed to providing outstanding support and guidance to aspiring young musicians. The successful candidate will join an ambitious but friendly team and can be assured of the support of colleagues in realising their ambitions for the department.
