Deputy Orchestral Cello Tutor

Deputy Orchestral Cello Tutor

Tuesday, 21 May 2019, 9.00am

Many of our permanent, highly skilled RCM Junior Department teachers are ‘in demand’ performing musicians and as a consequence, we understand the importance of allowing them to accept occasional external work on RCMJD Saturdays. Therefore, the RCMJD is seeking to engage an accomplished deputy orchestral cello tutor to join our vibrant and thriving department.

We are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
– You should be a widely recognised and highly respected orchestral practitioner and teacher.
– You will be teaching, to an exceptionally high level of technical and musical proficiency, gifted and talented students aged between 8 and 18, so relevant teaching experience at this level is required.
– You should understand the particular demands of the music profession whilst striving to help each student reach the fullness of their potential.

We expect to be able to offer a minimum of 2 to 8 hours of teaching each deputising Saturday, depending on scheduling and the timetable of the JD teacher being covered.
