  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    - Maximise both audience awareness in target audience groups and box office income from new attenders 

    - Build awareness campaigns for key main season concerts, key Connect activity, additional themes such as Cl@six and Summer concerts 

    - Manage campaigns within agreed budgets from concept to completion 

    - Build and maintain positive relationships with key media suppliers and promotional partners to plan and deliver creative marketing campaigns, both offline and online, and monitor their effectiveness and report on their outcomes. Source new suppliers when required and negotiating competitive prices to ensure value-for-money. 

    - Build and maintain a positive relationship with an external PR consultant for national press. Cultivate opportunities with local press through pitching stories, personal contact and writing engaging press releases 

    - Ensure key messages dovetail across all on- and off-line communication channels

    - Work with design officer to develop high quality creative content
    PRIMARY TASKS (Tasks that involve driving initial awareness up to the point of a ticket being purchased and the customer’s details being entered into the SCO database.)

    - Drive on-line traffic to the website through increasing Social Media engagement (but not website or e-news), implementing adwords campaigns where required and ensure external websites have correct concert information 

    - Implement press strategy and maximise awareness of concerts and key artists through the press 

    - Be involved in research with external partners to devise outdoor print campaigns within budget and in consultation with design officer and Marketing Director 

    - Work with other marketing officers to identify co-promotional opportunities with suitable partner organisations (including for example other arts organisations, universities, tourism agencies, audience development agencies and commercial businesses) 

    - Maintain positive and beneficial relationships with touring venues by maintaining regular contact with their Marketing, Box Office and Front of House departments, and to provide them with all the necessary information for their brochures, websites, e-newsletters and other print. 

    - Implement marketing and press campaigns for long-term Connect projects 

    - Produce and distribute on-line and off-line listings for all concerts 

    - Be responsible for your own admin including budgetary allowance and maintenance of archives 

    - Provide evidence for the improving effectiveness of campaigns 

    - Check the advertising schedule is aligned with awareness requirements
    ADDITIONAL TEAM WORK 

    - Play an active role in the recruitment and development of members of the student collective
