The Department of Performance, Writing & Music is comprised of a wide portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in; music, creative and professional writing, performing arts, acting, directing, drama and applied theatre and contemporary performance practices, and the highest-ranking Dance progamme in London in the 2018 NSS.

You will be an inspiring leader who can provide an outstanding student experience, develop external partnerships and promote research in the Department. You will lead the delivery of a growth plan and future ambition of the Department, which includes increase of student numbers and an expansion of the teaching and research portfolio as well as high levels of student retention and graduate employment.

Educated to first degree standard in a performance or music related subject, you will also have a doctorate or comparable professional experience in a relevant discipline with credible professional experience and/or research publications. With excellent communication, innovation and change management skills, you will have the ability to develop strategy, initiate organisational change and deliver the organisation’s vision for the future.
