Box Office Assistant

Key Responsibilities

Selling tickets at the counter and over the phone
Ensuring a high level of customer service is met
Maintaining a highly professional and helpful attitude toward patrons
Maintaining customer database in keeping with current legislation
Responsible for balancing tills and correct financial reporting
Provide correct reports for promoters

Other responsibilities

To attend performances and other events as required out of normal hours.
Ensure company management guidelines and policies are followed.
To act as an ambassador for the house.
To ensure the house is dressed correctly (internal branding).
To manage and maintain positive relationships with staff, promoters, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
To support the overall marketing objectives of Cork Opera House both externally and internally.
To undertake reasonable duties at the request of the Box Office Manager.

Qualification and/or experience

Ability to work in a very busy work environment
Flexibility regarding work schedule
A proven track record of excellence in customer service
Desirable

Working knowledge of a computerised ticketing system
Experience in the arts/theatre
Interest in theatre
Reporting

This role reports directly to the Box Office Manager.
