Presenting Baroque composers from Spain and Portugal—Soler, Seixas, and Durón—through Contemporary works by Asako Hirabayashi and Igor Tkachenko, “¡Fandango!” engages the audience in powerful rhythms and elaborate virtuosity. Rooted in ancient traditions of Flamenco, Fandango, and Xácara, this program takes imaginative flight through creative collaboration and inspiring improvisation.
