Artist in Residence: Call for Artists – Irish Traditional Musician
Mary Immaculate College, Limerick in partnership with Lime Tree Theatre, Limerick supported by the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon

Proposals are invited from practising professional Irish traditional musicians, for the period 1 September 2017 – 30 June 2018. The residency is located within the context of the College’s focus on Initial Teacher Education (primary teaching) and is made possible by the Arts Council, in partnership with Mary Immaculate College (MIC) and the Lime Tree Theatre. The residency will be hosted by MIC’s Department of Arts Education and Physical Education.

Mary Immaculate College welcome applications from professional artists with a track record in traditional music; demonstrated interest in creating work with or for children; and an interest in developing their practice in an education setting. The residency will offer the traditional musician opportunities to generate work, share work/work in progress and avail of rehearsal, research and performance facilities to develop her/his artistic practice.
