Junior RNCM Composition Tutor

The Junior RNCM provides specialist training to musically gifted youngsters between the ages of 8 and 18 in a caring and supportive environment on Saturdays during term time. 

Summary of Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, plan and teach small group composition lessons, with some reference to GCSE and A Level Music requirements
  • Provide feedback to students and their parents, including yearly written reports
  • Make continuous assessments of students’ progress and offer recommendations asto their suitability for opportunities that arise within the school
  • Provide appropriate pastoral care to students
  • Comply with any relevant policies, such as Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities, put in place by Royal Northern College of Music
  • The role holder will be required to obtain satisfactory DBS Disclosure
