Aldeburgh Young Musicians Co-ordinator
Aldeburgh Young Musicians is a cornerstone of Snape Maltings’ artist development and performance programme for exceptionally talented young musicians (aged 8-18yrs), who are selected from across the region and nationally. In close partnership with other leading music education and performance organisations, Snape Maltings provides a year-round programme of creative opportunities, including mentoring, tutoring and intensive residential activity, to help students fulfil their musical ambitions.
The AYM team is small, and this role works closely with the Head of AYM, assisting with the planning and delivery of the AYM programme, and attending/supporting all core activity. The postholder is also responsible for recording work (visual and audio) and updating the website.
Specifically, the Co-ordinator is responsible for the Apprentice Scheme, AYM Chamber weekends and specialist instrumental weekends.
Snape Maltings is looking for someone who has gained administrative experience within an arts or educational environment and who is passionate about music, across a range of genres. The ideal candidate will be a music graduate or an accomplished musician and will be confident in their use of current technology, including social media and digital recording. The ability to communicate and relate well to people from all backgrounds is essential.
