Interdisciplinary Performance Officer

Monday, 28 May 2018, 12.00pm

Creative Scotland is looking for an Interdisciplinary Performance Officer to join their Arts and Engagement Team, and support Creative Scotland’s work in this area, joining an energetic and dedicated team who are focussed on supporting the arts in Scotland.

You will provide support for the growing number of artists, practitioners, producers and organisations working in contemporary performance across a range of art forms. You will assess and make recommendations on a range of funding applications and projects, as well as lead a number of different projects. You will support the wider work of contemporary performance across a variety of different programmes.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of contemporary performance, with an awareness of dance, theatre, visual arts and other art forms. You should be able to demonstrate your experience, knowledge and understanding of the growing number of artists and practitioners working in contemporary performance across more than one art form, combined with a broader understanding of work that is driven by artists working across disciplines to challenge the boundaries of the artistic models, form and creative practice. Strong interpersonal skills and team working, the ability to develop and establish partnerships both at home and abroad, and a commitment to our core values are all essential. An overview of the arts, screen and creative industries in Scotland would be advantageous.
