Three Choirs Concert

Three Choirs Concert

Saturday, 19 May 2018, 5.00pm

Cathedral 850 Festival celebrates the 850th anniversary of St Mary's Cathedral, Limerick. Situated in the heart of Limerick city on the banks of the river Shannon, this iconic building is a most appropariate and beautiful setting for the next concert in the festival.
Featuring 3 cathedral choirs, St Canice’s Cathedral Kilkenny, Christ Church Cathedral Waterford and of course, St Mary’s choir, a wide selection of choral music is on offer for your enjoyment.

The main work in the programme is Mozart’s popular Coronation Mass; full of good tunes and lively choral writing, it is an ideal piece for the combined choirs on this commemorative occasion. The assembled forces will also sing Handel’s equally popular rousing anthem Zadok the Priest and each choir will sing a varied set of pieces on their own.

Tickets priced €10 euro, with €8 concessions, are available from www.saintmaryscathedral.com or at the door.
