Hear the remarkable life-story of Ireland’s oldest playable musical instrument from its origins in the year before Bach’s birth to its recent re-emergence from generations of obscurity. Dominic Gwynn is founder-partner of the UK organbuilding firm Goetze & Gwynn and the world’s leading authority on seventeenth- and eighteenth-century British organs. Andrew Johnstone has been since 1992 a lecturer in music at TCD and a member of the college organ committee.
