RIAM Summer Sinfonia

An exciting non-residential orchestral course for 12 to 18 year olds, 2-6 July 2018.
Led by conductor Ciaran Crilly.
Exploring orchestral repertoire and musician development, as well as working with IAYO conductors, and other fun activities:

Study the anatomy of the orchestra in a series of entertaining workshops

Work alongside student conductors from the IAYO Conducting Programme

Engage with RIAM tutors in specific instrumentation

Partake in recreational activities organised by our course managers

Perform in a joint concert with the RIAM Summer Wind Ensemble

July 2nd - 6th 2018

10.00 am to 4.30 pm daily (Friday concert finishing 8.30 pm approx.)

Closing celebratory concert in St Andrew’s Church, Westland Row on July 6th 2018 at 6.00 pm

Instrument places available:

Flutes - Oboes - Clarinets - Bassoons

French Horns - Trumpets - Timpani/Percussion

Violins - Violas - Cellos - Double Bass

Age Group: 12 to 18

Recommended Grade IV upwards - No audition required
