Practitioner-in-Residence, Music
The Columbia College Chicago Music Department seeks to hire a full-time Practitioner-in-Residence in Instrumental Music with a proven track record of expertise and professional experience in the performance and production of popular and contemporary music. The ability to teach in the department’s integrated, experiential Foundations curriculum in theory/aural skills, improvisation/composition, arranging, and technology is particularly desirable. The Practitioner-in-Residence will contribute to the design and delivery of the undergraduate music curriculum and serve a key role in the ongoing evolution and progression of the department’s distinctive curricular and programmatic focus on the performance, composition, and production of popular and contemporary music. The ideal candidate is one who brings a demonstrated record of professional excellence as a performing artist and/or music producer and is prepared to contribute fully to the artistic and academic community of the Music Department, with its distinctive focus on contemporary musics and collaborative music-making.
