"A stunning debut... Kathleen doesn't look like she needs to trade under the family name to make it." Folk and Tumble

Dolan's welcomes back Tyrone-born, Limerick-adopted singer songwriter Kathleen Turner, when she returns to the stage this autumn. Storytelling is at the heart of her music – Turner fuses sounds of folk and soul, with lyrics that are incisive, simple and honest and melodies that stay with you. She released her debut EP, Some Stories, in 2014, attracting attention and support from Paul McLoone (Today FM), Carl Corcoran (RTÉ Lyric FM) and Cherrie McIlwaine (Radio Ulster) and opening for the likes of Altan, Eddie Reader and Declan O’Rourke. Having spent the last year completing her PhD at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, she’s ready for live gigs again. In 2017, she caught the attention of renowned songwriter and performer Chris Wood, who has produced her second EP, The Lines Between Us (due for release in August 2017). This carefully crafted collection of songs comes right out of her life in Limerick – expect no bells or whistles, just voice and story in this intimate gig.
