Responsible for trumpet and French horn small group instruction, primarily at the beginning and intermediate levels, at Youth Orchestra LA at LACHSA, a partnership of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and LACOE (Los Angeles County Office of Education). The Teaching Artist will ensure the highest quality learning experience for YOLA at LACHSA students, create curriculum, pedagogy, and lesson plans in collaboration with other YOLA at LACHSA music faculty, and support the holistic growth of each child. This position will support the YOLA philosophy and community, and help facilitate community and family involvement. If qualified, opportunities exist to also instruct beginning percussion students.
