Music for Galway Midwinter Festival 2017 – SPOTLIGHT ON ALMA

The 2017 Midwinter Festival takes child prodigies as its inspiration. Every work in the weekend programme will have been written before or by the age of eighteen.

An amazing range of music by incredibly talented prodigies from down through the ages. Music for Galway are also joined by the astounding prodigy Alma Deutscher for her Irish début in which she performs many of her works on multiple instruments.

Alma Deutscher is joined by Finghin Collins and members of the ConTempo Quartet for performances of a selection of her compositions. She will also perform early works by Beethoven and Clara Schumann.
