The Arts Council invests in a diverse range of music activity in London including opera, classical, jazz, and other contemporary genres. London is home to some of the world’s leading music venues, orchestras, opera companies and festivals. It has a thriving music scene and is a destination for celebrated international performers.

Learning and participation in music is crucial to the Arts Council’s mission. Following the publication of the National Plan for Music Education, the Arts Council is also responsible for ensuring that every child of school age has access to high quality music education, and for investing in organisations that deliver music education and participation opportunities in and out of school.

There is now a vacancy for a Relationship Manager, Music including Music Education Hubs in the Arts Council’s Music Team in London. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and experience of music and music education. The role will involve managing client relationships with music organisations including music education hubs in London, data analysis and report writing, and performance monitoring. As a Relationship Manager for the Arts Council in London, you will also be expected to engage with a broad range of non-music specific issues, including children and young people, diversity and equality, engagement and learning, and to be a confident communicator with a range of constituencies.

Candidates will be expected to evidence professional arts experience and to demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of London’s wider arts scene, arts policy and the wider international context.
