Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble are offering three £1,000 commissions to encourage collaboration between the players in the ensemble and composers who are either still in education, or at the start of their careers. This initiative is made possible through funding from PRS and is part of HRSE’s commitment to developing young talent.

The opportunity is only open to composers in NI.

HRSE want to encourage 3 new solo works aimed at individual members of the ensemble and we want to leave the choice of instrument open to the composers. If you are interested in this opportunity then please email a proposal (no more 300 words) to the following address by 31st May 2017: hardrainensemble [at] icloud.com

Your proposal should outline your idea, the instrument/performer you wish to write for and any other information that you feel may make your proposal stand out. The chosen composers should be aware that the works will need to be completed by 1st Sept 2017.
