As part of a two-concert celebration of the music of Oscar®-winning composer Giacchino’s music, composer Michael Giacchino joins the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra to conduct We Have to Go Back: The LOST Concert Dublin.

Celebrating the iconic TV series Lost- consistently ranked as one of the top television series of all time, one of the New York Times 2019 Top 20 TV Dramas since The Sopranos and described by Alex Ross of The New Yorker as “a phenomenon” with Giacchino’s contribution being “crucial to the show’s cult success” - Giacchino conducts an evening of music and storytelling, featuring the Emmy® Award-winning score, video clips on big screen and special guests. Presented in association with Little Jacket Industries, the proceeds of the concert benefit the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra’s Music in the Classroom education programme.

LOST, the Emmy® Award winning series from ABC Television ran for six seasons from 2004-2010. Lost was created by Jeffrey Lieber, J.J. Abrams, and Damon Lindelof. All three share writing credits for the pilot, which was directed by Abrams.

The story begins with the aftermath of a plane crash where survivors believe is on an uninhabited island. It follows the large and diverse cast in their attempts to rescued, to survive and to ultimately find redemption. Lost contains elements of both the supernatural and the spiritual. Mythology from the story has spawned numerous blogs, fan clubs and university courses, capturing the imagination of millions of fans around the world.

The LOST concert takes fans, old and new, on a journey back to the island. During the course of the intimate evening, the emotional impact is felt just as strongly today as it did when it was first televised.

Michael Giacchino:
Composer Michael Giacchino has credits that feature some of the most popular and acclaimed film projects in recent history, including Inside Out, The War for the Planet of the Apes, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Zootopia, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Coco. Giacchino’s 2009 score for the Pixar hit Up earned him an Oscar®, a Golden Globe®, the BAFTA, the Broadcast Film Critics’ Choice Award and two GRAMMY® Awards.

Carlton Cuse
Working as a creator, writer, producer and director, Carlton Cuse is one of the most successful writers/executive producers in television. His status was cemented through his work as writer/executive producer with Damon Lindelof of the critically acclaimed, world-wide hit series, LOST for ABC/Disney. His other credits include the upcoming Netflix series Locke & Key, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Bates Motel, The Strain, Colony and Nash Bridges. In addition he has co-written the feature films San Andreas and Rampage for Dwayne Johnson and Warner Bros. Among his honors Cuse has received 10 Emmy Nominations and won 2 Emmys, a Golden Globe, a Writer’s Guild Award, a Peabody Award, and was named to Time Magazine’s annual List of the 100 Most Influential People in the World.
