Leopoldo Osio & Orlando Molina: Latin-American Songbook.
The newly formed Piano and Guitar duo will perform their debut concert on the 16th of November at Bagots Hutton.

Pianist Leopoldo Osio (Venezuela) and guitarist Orlando Molina (Venezuela-Chile) will be performing November 16th at Bagot Hutton in the inaugural concert of their newly formed duo.

The concert, produced by Segnini Events, and entitled "Latin American Songbook", will present a repertoire drawn from the most representative styles and musical forms of Latin-America.

Growing up in the hothouse of Venezuelan rhythms and styles, and schooled academically in the art of improvisation, the duo is able to explore and develop time-honoured songs in a unique and innovative style.

Leopoldo Osio is a Venezuelan pianist and composer. He is considered one of the most important Piano players in the contemporary Irish Music Scene working in the fields of Jazz and Popular Music. He has worked and shared stage with important names such as Kurt Rosenwinkel, Curtis Fowlkes, Christian Scott, Mark Guiliana, Michael Buckley, Ronan and Conor Guilfoyle among many others. Back in Venezuela, he worked and accompanied a wide variety of artists and orchestras including the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Symphonic Orchestra and played at important venues including the prestigious Teresa Carreño Theatre. He has also performed at many different Festivals and venues in South America and Europe including Uruguay, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Slovakia and Russia among others.

Orlando Molina is a Venezuelan-Chilean guitarist and composer. Being winner of three international music scholarships, Orlando has worked and played with internationally acclaimed musicians such as Andreas Morricone, Ronan & Conor Guilfoyle, Gustavo Dudamel, Rubén Blades, David Pavón, the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, among many others. Orlando has also been invited to perform for important public figures such as Mr. President Michael D. Higgins, the jazz trumpet player Wynton Marsalis and David Bisbal among others. As a bandleader and sideman, some of Orlando’s tours include the United the States, United Kingdom, Middle East, Spain, Ireland, Cuba and Venezuela. He has performed in acclaimed international music festivals and venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Jordan Hall, The National Concert Hall, Teresa Carreño Theater, Sligo Jazz Festival, the Electric Picnic, Sligo, Jazz al Parque among many others.
