Music in the Making Coordinator
Music in the Making is an exciting four-year programme running from April 2018 until March 2022. Funded by the Arts Council of England (ACE), it will develop new understandings of the Horniman’s important Musical Instrument collection of 9,500+ objects and take this as a starting point for creative programming which will build on Horniman Museum and Gardens’ existing work to broaden and develop audiences through performances, exhibitions and the web.
Horniman are looking for a Music in the Making Coordinator to help establish the four-year programme in its first two years. You will facilitate and coordinate the involvement of Horniman colleagues, partner organisations, consultants and community partners in the programme, and will ensure that the process is documented and evaluated. You will also support the Horniman’s Creative Producer in the development and delivery of related public events.
You will have experience in music performance or education, museums and / or community engagement and have coordinated projects in an arts or museums setting.
The closing date for completed applications is 10am on Tuesday 1 May 2018. Interviews will be held on Thursday 10 May 2018.
