Moxie – 12pm performance

Moxie – 12pm performance

Sunday, 20 August 2017, 12.00pm

Children’s Performance 12pm, €8/€4 Under 18’s Leath/Leath ticket

  • The children’s Performance at 12pm is suited to those aged 5+
  • All hailing from the west coast Moxie are: Cillian Doheny, (tenor banjo/guitar), Jos Kelly, (button accordion/keyboard), Darren Roche, (button accordion), Ted Kelly, (tenor banjo), and Paddy Hazelton, (percussion).
Moxie’s music has a solid traditional backbone, inspired and shaped by the surrounds of the west of Ireland, but with progressive, world and jazz influences creeping in, Moxie’s music makes for a truly heady and distinctive sound and puts them at the forefront of new acoustic music from Ireland. They also provided the music for the sensational Prodijig, The Revolution which performed a 3 week sell-out run in Cork.

With their unmistakable approach, Moxie is a firm festival favourite in Europe, America, Australia and beyond, and they have built a reputation for their highly charged live performances.

Irresistible, revolutionary energy’   The Irish Times *****

Streetwise, fast moving, clever…full of superb moments’  Irish Examiner **
