Southbank Centre is looking for an experienced Press Manager with an appreciation of and passion for culture in all its guises to join its busy press office to work on a wide range of media campaigns.
You will be responsible for ensuring that Southbank Centre’s innovative classical music programme receives the maximum amount of publicity and profile. With significant experience and specialist knowledge of promoting classical music in a senior press office role, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to liaise effectively at a high level, devise and manage high-level strategic campaigns and prioritise projects.
You will also work on a number of Southbank Centre festivals and projects. Experience in and knowledge of promoting another art form would be a distinct advantage, and if no proven experience or knowledge can be demonstrated, a real enthusiasm for working on other art forms or festivals is essential.
We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate flair and develop creative campaigns including strong photo opportunities. Well-respected in your field, you will also have a wealth of media and industry contacts. A team player with a flexible and enthusiastic approach to promoting Southbank Centre’s wider activities and cores values is also essential.
