This role is responsible for overseeing Snape Maltings’ activity in the field of opera, music theatre and contemporary mixed-media works for the stage, with a particular focus on commissioning and producing new work. The role also includes co-ordination of the Jerwood Opera Writing Programme, a unique training opportunity for composers, librettists, directors and others working in the development of new opera.

To be considered, candidates must be experienced administrators having ideally gained their experience in an opera/music theatre environment. Experience of casting, auditioning and contracting artists, combined with a sound knowledge of opera/music theatre and a collaborative style of working is also essential.
