Gregorian Chant for teenagers and adults over 15 years old.

Friday, 31 March 2017, 7.15pm

Gregorian Chant for teenagers and adults over 15 years old.

Arts organization CEIRD-Community Expressions Ireland will offer a two hour Gregorian Chant course on Friday night, 31st. March in Galway! This course will be taught by Gregorian Chant singer Batsheva Battu, who has been singing Chant professionally for the past nine years, both in Ireland and abroad.

On this two hour long evening course, the class will be learning one or two Lent pieces, since this course is happening during Lent. The Gregorian Chant teacher, Batsheva, may also sing some more Lent pieces to the students. Students who attend choirs or who sing hymns in church are also invited to bring in materials to sing/look at during the workshop.  As we’d like to connect this course with a social/an event for our group of students, we will probably go for coffee before the start of the course, or for a drink once the course ends (where we go may also depend on whether any under 18s join us, for obvious ‘no underage drinking’ reasons). More information/bookings: CEIRD: info [at] ceird.ie or 085 270 4576.

Gregorian Chant long course in Galway city, Friday 31st. March from 7.15 to 9.15 pm in Áras na nGael (First Floor), 45 Dominic Street, Galway.  Fee: 45 Euros (Full price) / 30 Euros (concession price).  (Under 18s / students/ seniors and unemployed people avail of this concession price.  If more than one member of a County Galway choir comes, all members of the choir also avail of this concession price).

Tá Gaeilge ag Batsheva, agus is féidir léi an cúrsa seo a theagasc trí Gaeilge, nó go dhátheangach Gaeilge/Béarla, má tá na scoláirí ag iarraidh.
