“We can learn thinking only if we radically unlearn what thinking has been traditionally” – Heidegger, ‘What Calls for Thinking’

Event GTAC002 by Gregory the Asshole

“Spatial Contemplation: Searching for the Place From Which we Think” seeks to initiate a process of reflection through electronic sound design, painting and art installations, and reflections on concepts of thinking. This event will experiment with spatial thinking, challenging dominant modes of reducing thought to reason. By thinking in a space, and interacting with conceptual art works throughout this space, we are invited to participate in a more primary questioning: not what is thinking itself but, instead, how is the space from which we think?”

Gregory the Asshole, in support of its upcoming E.P ‘A Man on His Tornado Learns the Importance of Space’, alongside The Dublin Laptop Orchestra and Artificial Memory Trace/Slavek Kwi, invites you to explore conceptual thinking by combining sound, visual art, and philosophy.
