Part Time Teacher of Music

We are looking to employ a part time Teacher of Music 0.6 FTE 3 days a week (Tuesday to Thursday full days). We have a thriving music faculty with a vibrant extracurricular program. We are looking for an energetic and creative music specialist to capture our student’s imagination and bring music to life. The faculty is supported with a Musician in Residence and with peripatetic tuition. 2014/2015 has seen a marked increase in students wishing to take music at GCSE as a result of development of curriculum at KS3. The successful candidate will be required to pick up two lessons a week of 6th form PHSE lessons as well as KS3 music lessons in this academic year. Future timetables would be negotiated according to teaching strengths and curriculum needs where Music lessons did not fill a 0.6 FTE timetable. We are an oversubscribed secondary comprehensive academy with 1200 pupils that has been recently rated “good” by OFSTED
