Head of University Music and Concerts

Sunday, 2 December 2018, 5.00pm

The School of Languages, Cultures, Art History and Music is looking to appoint a fixed term Head of University Music and Concerts. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful team that supports music-making across the University, including oversight of more than 100 events a year involving over 1,000 musicians across +30 ensembles.

The post-holder will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating University music activity, working in close partnership with a range of colleagues, including the Peyton and Barber Professor of Music, Head of Music and Musical Directors. This will include delivering scheduled concerts in the Bramall Building, the Barber Institute of Fine Art, University Music Society performances and events organised by the Music Department, including initial planning for future Opera productions and an outdoor festival.
