Learn to source hot music stories, network with industry insiders, interview artists, write sharp copy, produce a music blog, and practice pitching your stories to editors for real.

During this fast paced and practical eight week course, top music magazine editors Jenny Stevens (Deputy News Editor, NME), Tom Howard (Assistant Editor, NME) and Matt Bennett (Deputy Editor Clash Magazine) open up the workings of the music industry to aspiring writers

As well as finding out how to unearth exclusive music stories, and write under pressure, you will develop interview and feature ideas which you will pitch to music magazine editors for real. Fun and interactive exercises help you learn interview techniques, review and feature writing skills, and how to pitch your work. There is a strong focus on getting your work published.
