Barbican are currently seeking applicants for the opportunity of Emerging and Practising Artists Trainee Producer.

We are keen to find someone who is passionate about identifying and supporting new creative talent from a diverse range of backgrounds. If you are looking for a career as a Performing Arts Producer and want the opportunity to learn how arts institutions support the development of new work, then this is the right role for you. You will gain general administrative skills and support the management of relationships with artists and a range of partners.

What we’ll need from you are good IT Skills including MS Word, MS Excel and use of e-mail. You will be able to show us that you are a good communicator, that you are detail-oriented and that you can work as part of a team. We’ll expect you to have a strong interest in the Barbican’s programme as well in artists working at other venues across London and beyond.

You will need to be self-motivated and able to take instruction, as well as to work on your own initiative and manage your time well. You’ll have a can-do attitude, a good sense of humour, and will be happy to deal with any task handed to you no matter how large or small, and enjoy working to important deadlines.
