Alarm Will Sound, an artist-led chamber orchestra dedicated to contemporary music and related arts, seeks a General Manager who will increase its organizational capacities, grow its business opportunities, and strengthen its position as a leader in the field of classical music. That leadership is based on an 17-year history of excellence and innovation; candidates for the position should likewise value know-how and risk-taking. The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic problem-solver with operational and financial experience in the nonprofit performing-arts sector. This new position has been created to make sustainable AWS’s vision of a more diverse and inclusive approach to making music for a wide audience who deserve art that reflects and transforms today’s world.  Compensation for the part-time position is $30,000 plus benefits. Hours and location are flexible; a significant amount of the organization’s work is accomplished through an online workspace rather than at an office.
