Seven Musical Steps To Camus / Seacht Céim Ceolmhar ó Camú

With his passionate interest in all things Gallic, Tommy Halferty turns to the works of Albert Camus for inspiration for his suite for jazz nonet. Halferty has been a leading light in the Irish jazz scene for many years, his high octane virtuosity inspiring hundreds of young players. A teacher of English in his other life, the richness of language and literary ideas have provided him with much food for musical thought, and this new project sees his two passions realised. Joining him are a stellar cast of some of the finest musicians working in Ireland today:

Izumi Kimura- piano
Cora Venus Lunny- violin
Una O’Kane- violin
Lioba Petrie- cello
Aleka Potinga- voice
Michael Buckley- sax / flute
Kevin Brady- drums
Dave Redmond -bass
Tommy Halferty- guitar

Tickets €11.50 available at the link below.
