The CBSO is seeking to appoint a Section Leader for the Cello section, sharing the responsibilities with the current Section Leader, Eduardo Vassallo.  The two Section Leaders will share the leading responsibilities and will work together, also sitting No. 2 to each other when required. In addition to orchestral performances the two Section Leaders will manage the section, attend auditions, sit on appointment panels and attend Section Leader meetings.

Candidates should have experience of leading a Cello section and evidence through their CV of excellence in performance in a professional context. The CBSO will also consider candidates who are in the early stages of their career and can clearly demonstrate their potential to fulfil the role.
