THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO (Sung in Italian with English surtitles)

The Irish Chamber Orchestra collaborates with the newly formed Irish National Opera and a dream-team ensemble cast from Ireland and beyond.

One of the greatest comic operas ever written, Mozart’s fast-paced masterpiece The Marriage of Figaro revolves around a single day of madness as Susanna valiantly attempts to escape the amorous clutches of Count Almaviva, her fiancé Figaro’s employer on her wedding day.

This comic tale of mayhem and mischief boasts some of the most beautiful and familiar music ever written including the famous overture. Mozart’s superb score drives the drama with unforgettable solos and hilarious ensemble numbers.

“The Irish Chamber Orchestra…..play as stylishly as ever, though the smooth sound of their modern instruments inevitably adds to the sense of a meanly-sliced expressive palette”. Golden Alec
