Description
The intern will gain practical experience in planning, programming, development and management of festivals and events, co-ordinating directly with local venues and organisers. The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following managing social media, risk assesments, budgeting/communications, marketing and evaluation. On completion the intern will have attained skills in promotions, marketing and events from concept to delivery.
Skills Requirements
The ideal person will have a keen interest in the arts, sports and media. A creative, energetic and enthusiastic person is required with good IT skills, good time management skills, excellent communication and telephone manner. The candidate should have the ability to self manage and follow through with projects. Flexibility in terms of hours to be worked is required as events may take place during evenings and weekends. Garda vetting will be a requirement.
Please Note:
This is an Internship. An allowance of €50 per week will be paid in addition to your current Social Welfare payment.See eligibility criteria above.
