The Royal College of Music is seeking to engage a distinguished Bassoon professor to join its international team. RCM is looking for candidates with the following attributes:

  • You should be a widely recognised and highly respected practitioner, either as a performer or teacher.
  • You will be teaching, to an exceptionally high level of technical and musical proficiency, students at undergraduate and postgraduate level, so relevant teaching experience is required.
  • You should have a global perspective and good international contacts.
  • You should understand the particular demands of the music profession whilst striving to help each student reach the fullness of their own potential.

The Woodwind Faculty consists of a team of outstanding woodwind professors, many of whom hold principal positions in major orchestras, who combine careers as eminent performers with a passion and dedication for teaching. One-to-one lessons are at the very heart of every RCM student’s learning experience, and in addition to these our students enjoy regular performance and ensemble classes, unlimited chamber coaching, orchestral playing and masterclasses with distinguished international musicians.
