The role of the Director of Audiences and Media is to engage and grow current and future audiences. Reporting to the Chief Executive, they will have responsibility for several specialist functions including: audience development, analytics and audience data, broadcast, communications, creative studios, digital products, distribution, marketing and oversee around 60 employees and relationships with a number of external agencies.

The new Director will be an inspiring and dynamic media, marketing and communications professional, with experience of leading successful change at a senior level across a complex organisation and will help grow audiences and develop new revenue streams across a range of platforms. Candidates will also need to demonstrate the capacity to translate their experience into this world-leading and highly professional artistic environment, with the personal credibility to build effective relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and a clear commitment to the ROH’s mission and activity.
