FairPlé @ Women's Work: Rising Tides - a day of discussion

Saturday, 8 June 2019, 12.00pm

FairPlé is hosting a discussion panel event at the Duncairn Centre, Belfast, on Saturday 8th June 2019 from midday until 4.00pm.

Funded by Help Musicians NI through the Women in Music Fund, the event is part of the 2019 Women’s Work Festival.

There are three panels, with an amazing group of panellists:

1: Know Your Funders: with panellists from the Arts Councils of Ireland and NI and from HMNI, chaired by Jane Cassidy

2: Scoring Evidence: an academic response to gender inequality in Irish folk/trad with Dr Úna Monaghan, Joanne Cusack and Catriona Hawksworth

3: Identifying the “Workplace” in Irish trad/folk: with Pauline Scanlon, Úna Molloy (Turning Pirate) and Eibhlín Ní Dhochartaigh (Imbolc), chaired by Fil Campbell

Registration is free and refreshments will be provided: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/fairple-rising-tides-a-day-of-discussion-tickets-60549266486

Everyone is welcome to join us to discuss gender equality in Irish traditional and folk music. Plé means discussion: make your voice heard and join the conversation.
