The Music and Art Department at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) invites highly motivated applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant, Associate or full Professor in music with expertise in jazz and popular music starting Fall 2018.

The Department of Music and Art seeks a candidate in music with an earned doctorate in Jazz and Popular Music, with proven leadership as a director with experience building and promoting a performance ensemble. Primary responsibilities for Music and Art faculty include teaching a wide range of courses in area of expertise as well as capstone courses and historical survey classes in music. Candidates for this position will teach a variety of courses in jazz and popular music, and applied studies on instrument/voice of expertise. Other teaching duties assigned according to the candidate’s interests and expertise.
