Wednesday, 31 May 2017, 11.45pm

As Press Manager, you will work flexibly as part of the Marketing and Communications team to lead on and deliver positive media coverage for Southbank Centre’s festivals and projects, its issues-based and cross-art form programme, and specifically its contemporary music and culture programme.

You will have significant experience of devising and implementing strategic media campaigns, including social media, as you will be fully exploiting the potential of digital platforms and social media, developing a ‘digital first’ approach to all communications planning. You will have a proven track record in pro-actively pitching stories, drafting compelling media and PR materials including press releases, statements and briefing documents, and providing advice on press strategy at a senior level. With exceptional organisation skills, you will successfully run media and PR events and activities including press conferences and photo-calls. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential, as is experience of line management and being a strong team player.  Experience of promoting contemporary music is essential; experience in one or more of our other key artforms is desirable.
