Musicians for musical theatre production, 'The Last Five Years'

Saturday, 23 June 2018, 9.00am

This summer, The Lir Academy, Ireland's National Academy of Dramatic Art in association with Trinity College Dublin, will be producing Jason Robert Brown's seminal musical "The Last Five Years" as part of its 2018 showcase festival for graduating actors, directors, designers, and technicians. The production is in need of one violinist, one cellist, and one acoustic guitarist to play as the production's band during technical rehearsals and performance, under conduction by the production's Music Director. The musicians are asked to provide their own instruments.

The musicians will be required for the following dates: technical rehearsals and a preview performance on June 23, 25, and 26 (Saturday, Monday, Tuesday) and performances on June 27, 28, and 29 (Wednesday, Thursday, and two performances on Friday). In addition, all musicians will be asked to meet together with the Music Director for one or two band rehearsals in mid-June, TBD. All technical rehearsals and performances will take place at The Lir Academy, at Grand Canal Quay in Dublin.

The showcase of performances will be attended by managers, agents, and casting directors from across Ireland and the UK, highlighting all artists involved. As an academic production, all musicians will be offered an honorarium for their services, with the primary benefit of involvement coming from experience, networking, and showcasing with the most prestigious theatre-training institution in Ireland.

A soundtrack and full conductor's score are available on request. The link below is to the publisher's website, with further information on the show.

Please respond, with interest in the position or any further questions, to [email protected] referencing a CV or resume (if available) and/or all relevant experience. Thank you for your attention, we look forward to hearing from you!
