The Academy of Music and Theatre Arts (AMATA) is a centre of excellence for the arts that specialises in Music, Dance, Theatre and Cultural Management & Production, and forms part of Falmouth University’s portfolio of cutting edge creative arts education.

The Music Subject area comprises three degree courses: BA(Hons) Creative Music Technology, BA(Hons) Music and BA(Hons) Popular Music. These courses have expanded as the reputation for high quality facilities, innovative pedagogy and industry opportunities has developed. The research work of the music team has had a string of recent successes including AHRC funding for ‘Online Orchestra’ and the popular music symposium ‘Dark Sound: Destructive Pop 2015’.

Falmouth University is now seeking to appoint an outstanding individual initially on a 10 month, 0.5FTE fixed term position, to be reviewed after year 1, to primarily teach on the BA Music course, and to contribute to activities across the Music Subject area.
