The “Associazione dèdalo ensemble”, Brescia, announces an International “call for scores” for the XXI edition of the concert season “Sulle ali del Novecento”. Composers may send one or more scores. Every score must have a precise reference to the work(s) of one, and only one, of the following contemporary figurative artists related to Brescia: Silvia Beltrami, Marco La Rosa, Francesca Longhini. Their works are visible in the specific pages of this section.

Composers must write for the following instruments, involving a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 players, to be chosen from the following list: Flute (with Piccolo, G Flute, Bass Flute, one performer) Clarinet (E flat Clarinet, B Flat Bass Clarinet, one performer) Violin, Violoncello, Harp, Pianoforte (not prepared) , no form of amplification or electronic or computer elaboration is accepted.  

Scores must be sent by e-mail to dedaloscores [at] gmail.com, in pdf format, with a description of the relationship between the score and the related art work(s). Audio files are not accepted. Lenght of the piece between 6 and 12 minutes.

Selected scores, maximum one for each composer and no more than one related to each artist, will be performed in a concert in Brescia, Sancarlino Theatre, on January 2016, along with a presentation of the art work(s) that inspired the scores. 

The three scores will be selected by a jury formed by dèdalo ensemble players and its musical collaborators. The jury’s decision is final.
